Hi everyone interested in my little life -
I've decided to move my tippy typpy bltherings to Blogger - Mostly because it is more accessible to my parents who are pretty new to all of this technology - and all the bells and whistles that I can get with the free account - like picture posting and a place to practice using html.

So if you are interested in what's going on for me here is the address - http://singingchefadventures.blogspot.com

Oh - we sat in the audience last night to hear MonUCS sing Rachmaninov - it was special - thank you to all involved in that -

I'm home alone doing up minutes from a meeting - someone remind me next year that I have promised myself not to volunteer for ANYTHING that involves writing or computer work after my day's work.... Michael just rang and we are having Turkish take away for dinner - since I'm being slack and doing LJ instead of minutes instead of starting a fire to warm our home and cooking dinner. I think I'll go start a fire now - It is really nice and chopping wood is a very theraputic activity after work.

I'm happy today :-)

What do you know - even with a couple of go's I come up with the same thing - and it's Michael...funny that - It is a comfortable relationship for me.

I'm at work waiting for the next step in the pay run - have been here since 8:00 am and bedtime last night was 12:30 - I'm a little tired - it's 10:00 pm right now....poor me.

LAST NIGHT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I was in the wink :-) and it was fun. I traded my special Dame Edna glasses for a Team England pin - in the heat of the moment - hopefully somewhere there is a dvd recording of the telecast of the event so that I can have that as a keepsake. And I still have my Gladdi :-)

gotta go now -

If anyone is not busy on Sunday night I would recommend watching the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony on the teli - if you don't have tickets to see it live that is - we just had our final dress rehearsal and it is going to be SPECTACULAR

I saw from the train platform this morning - a murder of crows -
they were having a convention - small groups kept joining this huge group in a great tall euclyptus tree - what a great sound they make too - when a group would go to fly away they were convinced to rejoin by a chorus of 100s of crows - cool!

Then - on my way to lunch in the cafeteria at the hospital I nearly ran over the volunteer who was carrying the Queen's Baton - I was that close to it - and it's a big deal to me - where I come from I would never in a lifetime get the chance to be within touching distance of something that the whole nation and a good part of the world was watching. I'm chuffed.

And to top it all off we finished the pay run _early_ so I got to go home on time and got to cook mexican for dinner.

I feel good tonight.

I don't do these very often - but here it is -
I'm a generally unfuckwitted, liberal, disgustingly generous, pathetically simple-minded, dribbling child!

Chuckle - Fundamentals of Financial Accounting -
Pretty fitting that the sentence that I read is related to the work that I do now....:-) Is that supposed to mean something?

Too bad I'm not in my room instead - you would have gotten a sentence from Narnia Chronicals. Might even have guessed where it was from!

Nearest book meme
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

Back to paying bills now - Dinner was great by the way - Michael is a most wonderful chef - I am so lucky :-)
